Saint Vlas
Saint Vlas is located at the foot of the southern slopes of Stara Planina, near the Black Sea coast. It is 10 km from Nessebar. St. Vlas occupies the northern part of the bay, which is located near Sunny Beach and Elenite and Burgas is located 35 km south.
In 1963 Vlas was declared a climatic seaside resort. The microclimate here is favorable for treatment of pulmonary diseases.
In 2006 Sveti Vlas acquired city status with the Council of Ministers.
In 2007, Sveti Vlas was found the biggest marina in Bulgaria, with a capacity of 300 yachts.
The beach of St. Vlas is facing south. The sand is fine and golden. Unique combination of fresh mountain air, maritime climate and beautiful scenery. Sveti Vlas is a favorite place for recreation for many Bulgarians and foreigners. Summer days are characterized by quiet morning and relatively cool afternoon.
Unique long, warm and quiet autumn. Recent years have seen temperatures of 15 degrees in mid-December. The winter here is no more than a month.

The Festival of Saint Vlas is conducted on 2 May - the summer St. Athanasius.
International sailing regatta "St. Vlas "is conducted in the waters of the Bay of Nessebar 18, 19 and 20 July. Host of the competition is the Municipal Marine Club "Nesebar 2000". Regatta "Sv. Vlas "is behind a five-year history, and by 2007 is held under the name" Victory ".
