National Park Yosèmiti
National Park Yosemite National Park was established on 1 october 1890 , and was third among the oldest national parks in the United States. It was created to preserve the resources that contribute to its uniqueness and attractiveness. Congress recognized the importance of the preservation of this great park to the delight of future generations. Geologically Yosemite is a spectacular collection of different geological formations. It has the largest concentration of granite domes in the world and the world's largest granite monolith in the open.
The first application of the concept of the park originates from Yosemite to act by 1864 years (federal land given to California for reserve ), signed by Abraham Lincoln and since then the park plays an important role in the initiation of management concepts parks.
Yosemite National Park covers nearly 3,080 km² picturesque virgin lands separated in 1890 ,. to promote conservation of central Sierra Nevada that stretches in eastern California. The park is located at a height of 610 m to more than 3960 m above sea level . Besides the alpine landscape and the three forests of giant redwoods, Yosemite is famous for its carved by glaciers glacial valley Yosemite , waterfalls and rocks with unusual shapes.
